Mostly I freelance as a writer. If you want to commission a piece of work — from a 500-word opinion column to a full-length book — please email me.

For fiction, I'm represented by Brian Langan at Storyline Literary Agency.

I also occasionally pick up editing work — for many years I was the blog editor at Ploughshares, the U.S. literary journal based at Emerson College, but when the right book project comes along I've worked on those as well.
